Biography
> Tré Cool
Tre was born Frank Edwin Wright III on December 9th 1972. He grew up in the Mendocino Mountains in North California. His father was a Vietnam War helicopter pilot, now working as a truck driver.
When he was 12, he met his neighbour Lawrence Livermore, whose band the Lookouts needed a drummer. Livermore renamed him Tre Cool and he joined the band. Tre's first recordong was for the Lookouts, their album "One Planet, One People" was recorded in October 1986 and released on Lookout!Records. Whilst playing at Berkeley's underground music club at 924 Gilman Street, Tre met Green Day who also played there. When their drummer left to go to college, Billie Joe and Mike signed Tre.
Tre has a daughter Ramona, born January 1995, with his first wife Lisa. He and his second wife, Claudia, had a baby called Frankito in 2001. Unfortunately, they split up in 2003.
